Marketing: which ads bring booked jobs
Updated Oct 20, 2026
Marketing shows where your leads come from and which sources turn into booked jobs and revenue.
Return by lead source
Every lead has a source: your website form, Google, Yelp, a lead seller, a phone call or a referral. Add what you spend on each one every month under Monthly costs, and the table shows cost per lead, cost per booked job and return.
Ads and campaigns
When someone clicks your ad and fills out your quote form, MoveHelm saves the campaign tags (UTM tags) and the Google click ID with the lead. Ads and campaigns groups leads by source, medium and campaign.
- Add UTM tags to your ad links, for example ?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=spring.
- Turn on auto-tagging in Google Ads so the click ID (gclid) is added for you.
Call tracking
Add a tracking number per source (get a new one or use one you have). Calls ring your office and count for that source.
Referral partners
Add realtors, buildings and storage places that send you customers, with their fee, and record each payout.
