Roles and permissions

Every team member has a role. The role decides which parts of MoveHelm they can open.

Built-in roles

Owner, Manager, Office, Sales, Dispatcher and Crew. Owners can always open everything. Crew use the crew app.

Change what a role can open

Go to Settings › Roles & permissions. In What each role can open, tick or untick each area for each role, for example turn off Invoices & payments for Sales. It saves by itself.

Menu items a person can't open are hidden, and typing the address shows a "no access" page.

Custom roles

Under Add a custom role, add a role like "Estimator" or "Billing", choose which built-in role it's Based on, and set its areas. A custom role can never do more than the role it's based on. Then pick it for people in the Who has which role list.
